At what age do you allow your teens to have a “bf” or “gf”? Just like a school thing and maybe talk…

I was 13 when I was allowed to have a “boyfriend” but it was just talking on the phone and seeing each other at school lol

I was allowed to have a boyfriend at 18. My father scared all my crushes away. But I think Any age under 15 is not the age to have a bf/gf - this is why we have so many Children getting pregnant. These little girls need to take their heads out the gutter and grab a Book.

I was never allowed to have a bf. Even through my young adult years, they were called my "friend"

It's like my parents refuse the term and to acknowledge it 😂

When I was 15 I had like a real relationship. It lasted 3 years , and my family was super observant . He slept over on occasion cause we lived in different towns (we met cause I was a cheer leader and he played football for an opposing team ) but he never slept in my room . But when it comes to my son, I think I’ll still need to be more observant lol. Not that I had sec or anything but I just feel like I shouldnt have “been in love “ with someone so young like I was

I started dating my husband when I was 14 🤷🏻‍♀️ we’ll have been together 9 years in January. No unwanted pregnancies and graduated with 3.9gpa. Dating doesn’t lead to bad choices. Bad parenting and lack of communication with your children leads to bad choices. 💁🏻‍♀️

@preciouslove, my 12 year old sisters Both recently told me they have boyfriends . I asked them so many questions about their “Boyfriends “ and I came to the conclusion that these are not their Boyfriends but More of a Crush. They don’t kiss. They just say cute stuff to eachother and get that butterflies in your tummy feeling when they see eachother. So maybe Your son just has a Crush who likes him back? Or maybe I’m wrong. Boys Move quicker than girls, I know my son is gonna be a ladies man... I’m gonna lock my daughter up if I ever have a Girl lol

@mrschanandlerbong95, I’m not worried about bad choices. I’m a very involved mother. I just feel he needs to focus on school this young. He has plenty of time to date. That’s amazing by the way!

I started dating my dh at 15. My dad always said whatever he does to me my dad is going to do to him😂. With our kids, I would prefer them to be at least 16. I tell me dd she can’t kiss a boy until she’s 18 though. So far I’m sticking with that until she is older

I was allowed to date when I was 14 but I didn’t really until I was 16 that’s when I got into a serious relationship with my now husband

I was allowed to date at 14 and got pregnant at 14 and lost it but I wish I waited a little longer to be in a relationship like maybe 17 or so but now I’m with a guy that has been there longer than anyone has

But I’m 19 now so that’s why I said I wish I waited

But I think a good age to date is between 16 and 17 and 18

When my son turns 18..we dont believe in the whole dating thing so young once hes an adult and if he messes up? It's not on me lol..wish my parents would of done the same...lost my virginity at 16 and pregnant at 17..I refused for my kids to follow suit

I told my kids they are not allowed to date living with me lol
