. He had a iv in it when born as he is preemie as well as it not too red around but has a slight odour

Does it have an odour? Maddox needed antibiotic cream for his and it was goopy, red and had a smell

@butterflymomma22, maybe get it checked at your family doc or a walk in clinic. There’s swabs they can do to find out for sure if it needs antibiotics

My sons came off the first week the clamp got caught on the diaper and it ripped the stump out. I was horrified there was blood all over the diaper and it looked raw like that i just cleaned it up kept it dry and took him to a doctor it was fine.
