Not a stupid question at all! We had to ask our son's doctor. She said that if our water was fine, then we could use it. We alternated between cold tap water, nursery water, and bottled water. It probably depends on where you live. I know some people boil tap water before using it. And some people are concerned with lead and fluoride levels.
@aengs2, i’ve used nursery & bottled water since my son was born but i’ve got good tap water and i ran out of bottled water and can’t leave the house so my only option is tap water!
@kartersmommyy, Should be just fine as long as it's cold tap water. I've heard that using hot tap water isn't ideal. But definitely confirm with your child's doctor as well!
Idk your answer...... But at 6 months you can start introducing a little water (I did filtered) soooo I don't see why not..... But I also think you could boil it also.... 🤷
Is it municipal or well? Has it been tested if it’s well? If it’s municipal does it have fluoride? It’s more complicated than a yes or no answer. You should be boiling to sterilize the formula anyways so most things would be taken care of by boiling, but not others.
@kartersmommyy, personally, we are an anti fluoride home, but I especially would not use it for a baby. In a pinch, I guess. However, I wouldn’t use it on a regular basis.
