Have any of you ladies had any breast cancer scares? If so I’d love to hear your experience.
A couple months ago I noticed a dull ache in my left shoulder and chest/breast area and booked an appt with my GP. After a breast exam and a quick check of my armpit he said everything seems normal and figured it was a muscular issue. He said if it continued further he’d be happy again to check in two months time to follow up.
The issue is still persistent and am booked into see the family doctor again tomorrow but with my training can’t help but think the worst.

I’ve actually been having the same issue with my left breast/armpit area. Im an avid lifter so sometimes I think it’s just muscular, but it just feels weird. I keep putting off getting it checked, I don’t feel anything abnormal when I do a self exam. I’ll probably mention it next time I go to my OB though just in case.
I had one when I was 14. Yup 14. Scariest fkin thing in my life. Waiting for results after surgery was horrible. So I’m overly paranoid about anything with my breasts. Most of the time it’s been related to being pregnant, af hormones, breastfeeding, but I always get it checked out!! Positive thoughts your way.
My oldest sister is having the same scare. She said she had some aches in her right breast underneath. when her Dr checked it out said there's unknown cells but nothing to be concerned about. He then told her that he would send her for a repeat scan in 6 months. But she's a worry wart and wants more answers. So she insisted to be referred to a specialist. I don't blame her. I'd want more specific answers too. 6 months is a long time to worry. That being said, I'll keep both of you in my prayers. 👏🏽😇

My prayers are with you, working in an oncology office I always assume the worst too.That’s why I still go every year for a pap (doctor recommends every 3 years) but I know early detection is best and my insurance covers me for once a year.

@sarahbethk, Mine is definitely a shoulder issue! I saw the doctor yesterday. It’s likely from the gym and carrying kids lol he want me to see the orthopaedic after baby is born.
