Ladies please tell me there's still hope... I took a test today at 9DPO (i know it's early but I couldn't help it) and it was definitely negative... Not even the slightest chance it could have been positive.. I have been cramping on and off the past few days and having cold/flu like symptoms, but I think I just want to be pregnant so bad so that's why I feel like I'm having symptoms. Could I be pregnant or am tricking myself because I want it so bad? Thanks you all!!!!

Most don’t test positive until 12 dpo or later. It is possible to trick yourself too.

It seems more common to get an early positive then it actually is, which totally sucks. Every day there are women in forums posting positives at 5, 6, 7 dpo when in reality 12dpo is considered an early positive! It really is best to wait until your period is due, you'll save money on tests (I peed on 27 sticks last cycle and wasn't even pregnant) and most likely get a lovely dark positive! It really really sucks to wait for so long though... I've still got 10 days to go and I want to die a little!
