I saw a post on Facebook a minute ago that had just really triggered me for some reason so of course I’ve gotta rant about it. I understand that alot of people glorify young/teen pregnancy and I agree that it’s an issue and that young girls shouldn’t be trying to have babies and such. BUT I also agree that a young woman that has a baby isn’t always a bad thing. I was 18 when I found out I was pregnant and was 19 when I had her. Yes it has been really hard to be so young and be a mother. There are so many things I wish I could’ve have done first. Not every young mother “pawns” her child(ren) off on someone else. I have my daughter 24/7 and rarely go anywhere without her. There are times that my friends want me to go and do things with them that I can’t do because my daughter can’t go and sometimes I wish I could but I have a child that needs me more. I just really wish that people wouldn’t make us young moms seem so bad all of the time. I know that I’ve missed a lot and things like that but she’s well taken care of and I love being her momma. As long as the young woman takes care of her baby then I don’t see that big of an issue with it.

Yesss! 👏🏼 I was 21 when I got pregnant and 22 when I had my son and he’s with me 24/7. My life has completely changed, and so has my mindset now that I’m a mama. I may be young but I wouldn’t trade it for anything 💕 Go you mama, sounds like you’re doing amazing!

Amen !! Haha my brother tells me sis I'm proud of you for taking care of my little nephew you're not like this other moms that leaves there kids to go party I'm like bruh you don't know how much I've changed in a good way !!!

I agree!!! I was 17 when I got pregnant, my mom kicked me out so I got married, finish high school and worked. I even graduated early, a month before I had my baby!

I agree. While having a baby young isn't necessarily an ideal situation, things happen and it's all about how you handle it. Anyone can be a shitty parent no matter how old you are. Young or old. It's unfortunate there's such a stigma around young moms and people just assuming they're bad mothers due to their age. I had my first at 17 and about to have my 4th at 21. I hate to toot my own horn but I'm a damn good mom. My age doesn't define how good of a parent I am. I've gotten a lot of shit for having kids young and having as many as I do but oh well. 🤷🤷 I just let it go because I know they're well taken care of and I'm not living off the government. My husband works hard to support our family.

I had my son at 17 after getting pregnant at 16. I'm 19 having my second who will be born when I'm 20. I think it's okay, you just do what you gotta do to survive. It's what I want. 🤷 I'm happy with it
