If she’s just a bitch then yes but I’ll be right there to straighten her out if she went sideways. I wouldnt tolerate her trying to brainwash my kid against me or anything like that. So if that were the case until she got back to being sane then I would keep my kid away from her.

Probably not , I feel like ;anyone who doesn’t respect me , shouldn’t be around my kids period . You never know what there intentions are ! Mother in law or not .
Depends on how she disrespected you and what made her get to that point...maybe you disrespected her in some type of way too.
But if my mil disrespected me, it wouldnt automatically mean she is a horrible grandmother. We could have many issues but as long as she loves my kids, she can see them and love them as much as she wants🤗
@_mommyoftres, my hubby was a big mammas boy. Then we moved out and she sent him the nastiest message saying rude things about me. And since then I told her either apologize or you won’t see my son. And she never apologized. I just did what I did because I felt like if she disrespects me then she has no respect for me. I’m not going to let her see the one thing in my life that I love more than anything (my son). I just need closure to know I’m doing the right thing...
My MIL was down and dirty with me. If she stayed in her lane and was a good grandmother- I’d let her see the kids. She played dirty to my kids though so now she wouldn’t be allowed to even if she tried.

@cakes, she seems toxic,I wouldn’t want someone toxic around my babe bc she learns from adults around her! My MIL is very judgmental towards other people. Never mean directly at me but the way she treats others has resulted in me seeing her less and not bringing Emilia around as much bc I would hate for Emilia to think it’s okay to talk about people the way her grandmother does. We have to look for the best interest of our kids even if it means a break from relatives who are clearly toxic :/
