If you have a tear in your amniotic sack you’d be delivering within 24 hours.

Yes it will not stop and if you don’t deliver within 24 hrs of the rupture there would be a great chance of infection and still birth

If you suspect a tear and leak please call and get checked right away. Nothing to mess around with especially not at 31 weeks!

Thanks ladies! I don’t have any fluid leaking but when she moves I can hear what sounds like water gushing out (I know sounds crazy) it started last night. I put my hand on the area I hear it and I can feel it also with my hand. I’m probably just paranoid.

@saleena, What do you mean you can hear water gushing out? If water was gushing out it would come out. Your most likely hearing the fluid move in her amniotic sack or your own stomach 😊

@beakymcspence, yeah that’s why I’m not too worried. Nothing is coming out, that’s why I was curious would it leak if the sac was torn. It just sounds as if you had water in your mouth and spit it out. It’s hard to explain. Lol

@saleena, lol interesting explanation 🙊 I think your hearing fluid moving which is completely normal speaking as an L&D nurse. If it was torn you’d be in labour, and delivering within 24 hours.
