@asandovaln, aww okay. My mom is from Sinaloa and her side of the family says gorditas. My dad is from Jalisco and they say sopes. But you’re right, the sopes usually open with the ridges and food inside as opposed to being pupusa style. Whatever the case delicious 😋 enjoy

@flamingomom, Im from Mexico City and I have the same problem 😂 But where I’m from sopes and gorditas are two different things.. And my suegra is from Zacatecas

Omg no one ever knows what gorditas are when I mention them. They know them as sopes. May I ask where your family or suegra is from?
