My husband is sick and we don't know why. He's running a fever of 103 for a week every 4-6 wks. Antibiotics did nothing. He's going to the infecious diseases Dr Wednesday. Wish I could help him.

This sounds very similar to something I went through- they found strep in my bloodstream which I didn’t even know was possible. I was referred to an infectious disease doctor and put on penicillin 3x a day for several months, with a monthly blood draw. Wishing a speedy recovery to your husband
@patrycjalai we assumed tonsils to since his rapid strep during his last episode was a faint positive but cultures were negative. They said that's consistent with a carrier. He's been on a rotating regiment of ibprofien and tylonel and fever spiked to 103.9
No joint pain, no abdominal pain, no stiff neck, minimal headache
@newlyironman, could it be tonsil stones? With fevers?
@patrycjalai scarred tonsils but the ent didn't think it was that. They're white and swollen. All the normal side effects of fevers.
Looks like he has recurrent fever syndrome. Any other symptoms?
Ya know what’s crazy, my husband has the same thing going on, but has no tonsils. And every time he goes in for a strep test it’s clear. But extremely high fever and sore throat every 4-6 weeks
