Haven’t been on here in forever(well seems like forever) so give a quick update court is coming up finally and still haven’t talked to Naomi’s father since May I think and therapy has helped Naomi out a lot she talking way more and so smart and started officially dating someone that treats Naomi like his own daughter

Good luck with court. It is emotionally draining and expensive. We have spent about $10,000+ and it feels like we have not gotten anywhere. But I’m glad you found someone who sees your daughter like it was his. He’s a keeper!

@sboolay, thank you and I’m realizing that now just to talk to a lawyer it was $300 I was like wtf why so much and I feel like it’s gonna go no where he doesn’t wanna communicate or try and figure things out and wanna lie and thank you I’m very happy was surprised he was so willing to accept her as his own he already calling her his daughter and asking when I can change her last name to his last name and if it’s too soon to talk about us having more kids

Yes! Towards the end of court I use to cringe when my lawyer would email me something stupid because I knew that stupid email was costing me a fortune and just adding up. Make sure you save all texts, receipts, videos, photos, etc. Just because you didn’t use them the first time in court doesn’t mean they won’t come in handy the second or third time. I learned that the hard way. I’m glad you found someone that makes you happy. BTW it’s so hard to change a child’s name if the other parent fights you. We looked into it and the dad would basically have to agree to everything even if it’s just changing a letter in the first name.

@sboolay, I have everything saved very good friends with a lot of cops and some involved in the family court system so always ask for legal help since sometimes don’t wanna call my lawyer up and I told him that her father will not agree to it he even wanna adopt her I’m like her father will not agree to any of this which makes him upset but it’s what we dealing with right now
