HELP PLEASE!

So at this point my baby will be 9 months and still does not sleep through the night which may be normal if he was waking up once but he is waking up multiple times 3-4 times to be exact and feeding every time, BUT I am exhausted. Any one have any idea what I can do I feel like I can’t do it anymore😭

PS. he’s been exclusively breastfeed since born but does take a bottle once in a while.

@raisingaleyaandethan, it’s so hard! There’s days where I want to just stop breastfeeding but we have made it this far I should just try to enjoy it but definitely not sleeping makes me angry and very impatient. He’s definitely just wants to be next to me most of the time because he sleeps more in my bed then his crib.

My son is 14 months and we are weaning him since he’s having such a hard time with not being breastfed. He still wakes up 4-6 times a night to nurse. I am cutting one feed out per week. So far this week we are on day 4 of no nap time boobie since he only takes 1 nap. Breastfeeding at night isn’t always because of hunger. Babies do it for comfort. He may be waking up too cold or too hot or just wants to be close to mama. Trust me I understand the frustration and that’s why we are working so hard on weaning

My son was like that when he was around that age. He’d wake up and just want a bottle and then sleep again. Eventually he just slept through the night so don’t worry. ☺️

It’s normal. My first born didn’t start sleeping through the night until he was almost a year old. It’s funny to because the first night he slept through the night was New Years Eve and there was fireworks going off allllll night. And he slept through it all lol. Now my second born on the other hand, has been sleeping through the night since he was 2 months old. Every kid is different.

My son's pediatrician said that after 6 months you can stop feeding them when they wake up in the middle of the night. If you feed them then they'll continue to do it out of habit. So once my son was 6 months we didn't pick him up in the middle of the night anymore. We just soothed him while he was laying in his crib and gave him a stuffed animal. Worked like a charm for us. He was bottle fed which I know is a bit different but after that age baby should still be capable of going long stretches without eating. Your little is likely just comfort feeding.

Totally normal for some kids. My youngest was like that. He still wakes once a night. Sleeping through the night is a developmental milestone that is perfectly normal not to reach until 5.

It’s normal unfortunately 😭 my son also like 3x a night, and so do many more babies. Try to give formula (if that’s what you meant by saying he takes a bottle) before bed because they get filled up more on that than breast milk. Keep the same routine every night.
