Just found out babies estimate weight at the 35/36 week mark... as of today he is supposedly 7ibs 10oz 😧 *scream comes from the downstairs area* 😂😂 big babies anyone?
They can be way way off, I wouldn’t worry. My first was estimated at 7lb he was 9lb 8oz my second was estimated to be 5lb maximum and was born the following day at 8lb 1oz!! I don’t even pay attention to their weight estimations.
I find our baby’s weight today but everyone says I’m big for 8 months and my last weight check baby was ahead of his gestational age. So I’m going to predict he’s going to be a big baby.
The good news is ultrasounds can be off by as much as 2 pounds. I never had an ultrasound scan for weight at the end but my doctor estimated 7 lbs by feeling baby. She was very wrong. 8 lb 11 oz and she came out vaginally with no issues (20 min of pushing). I did have 2nd degree tear
My baby was 8 pounds 14 oz, born right on his due date. At 35 weeks exactly, they said he was 6 pounds 9 oz. I still don’t know how I delivered him vaginally!!!
I had an 8lb 4oz for my first, and #2 was 8lb 12oz. The dr.'s did not estimate them at those weights. They said around 7 lbs 😅. Who knows with #3 though! I'm expecting a 9lb-er!
My doctor told us our first should be expected to be over 8 and our second she also thought would be bigger. In the hospital room she said at least 7 and I said nope. Our first was 6# 5 ounces and our second was 6# 11 ounces. She hasn't taken any guesses this pregnancy but he feels small like his brothers to me.
