Breastfeeding seems so hard this time around. He's two days old. He's feeding on demand but I'm wishing my milk will finally come in 😑 I'm so tried haven't gotten any sleep. He keeps crying like he's not full at all. Do i formula feed ? 😢

Just keep going! Babies LITERALLY just want to be latched 24/7 till about 8w and thats totally normal.

All babies are different too. My son could NOT figure out how to breastfeed then once he learned he never stopped (still) haha

He may just be cluster feeding, my daughter did the same thing when she was two days old. It lasted for about the first two weeks after being born and it just means that the babies body is telling us they need a lot of feeding to grow! I kept my daughter by my side at all times and fed her right away and would sleep with her when she’d knock out.

Also, ask your doctor about formula feeding. Doctors determine whether or not that’s needed, I learned that when I thought my daughter needed formula when she didn’t. It hurt her tummy crossing breast milk and formula milk. Most babies have a hard time learning how to nurse when first born, and latching is a problem because they don’t know what to really do just yet! It gets easier after the first week, hang in there mama you got this. :)

Thanks mamas ! I will keep him close to me && keep trying to nurse him. He's having enough wet and poop diapers so he is feeding enough so that's good

@lifeasamommy, if he’s having enough wet diapers he’s getting enough. No need for supplementing. He’s just cluster feeding to bring in your milk. Also for comfort and support- it’s a big scary world he was just thrown into!

Just keep nursing. For most women milk comes in by day 3 so you’re probably almost there. How is his diaper output?
