This makes me sad but I see my sister pregnant at 16 by some asshole guy. My sister is the girl who literally posts photos almost everyday with captions along the lines of asking if she's cute or hot and then ending it with "I don't think I am". She's fishing for compliments and she has totally changed her appearance and started wearing a lot of makeup. I know people grow and change and everything but this was almost over night and she's become very flirty posting things about wanting to party and go drinking and memes about being a totally slut. She changes clothes after my mom drops her off at school. I see her like Quinn was on Glee. Some guy compliments you enough and you get a little tipsy and bam you're pregnant. She is not ready for that. I tried telling my mother and my sister literally runs to me pissed off saying I have no room to talk in her life because I moved out. I'm seriously worried, most recently she literally said she needs a baby. She means it, I said it at 16 that I wanted a baby and I meant it. She is serious, she keeps saying it and if she isn't careful she's going to have one.

Its sucks to hear but your sister sounds like a teenager trying to find herself. She’s lost which is why she’s desperately seeking attention. Negative or positive, attention is attention. Just try and support her the best you can. Talk to her about safe sex and how having a baby Young or an STD is not fun and games. There’s not much you can do. If you harp on her it’ll just push her further away. I think she needs to navigate this on her own but she also needs someone she can trust and who she knows loves her unconditionally.

Sounds like she needs an adult to sit and have a serious talk with her. Not about the pregnancy, but about life in general. She's swinging wildly from one end of the spectrum to another, it seems like to get attention from someone. And she will get the attention. Better that it's from an adult who cares about her though. She needs to be shown love, poor girl, and she seems desparate to get, which may be why she's hellbent on having a baby. A baby will love her.

@bigmama18 my mother favors her and lets her have whatever she wants so she won't listen to anything I say and my sister will not speak to me because, like I said, I moved out after I turned 18 and she now blames me for everything that went wrong... like everything, including our great grandad dying... so she's done with me. I know her and she never says anything without intent, it's one of her best and worst qualities. I get being lost and "finding herself" but my mom doesn't actually have a conversation about sex and being safe because she thinks it will prevent it, and now I can't.

@leowifey that's my main worry is how drastically she changed so much over such a little time, she doesn't like to take ownership for things either which is not going to help her. She is hanging out with the woman I used to hang out with all the time. This lady is 30 and when I was 12 (she was 23) she was literally trying to help me sneak around to see a boy I liked. My sister does not get in trouble for things either, no one is helping or really looking out for her.... now I can't because she will not speak to me.

@alice-quinnsmommy, if your mother isn’t actually going to parent her there’s really nothing you can do but sit back and watch. I hope this ends well on her part. Im also sorry your relationship is strained. I hope in the future you can make amends and move forward. Having a sister is such a blessing. I hope she comes to realize that.

@bigmama18 Yeah, luckily my other siblings aren't trying to push me away, I can still try to help them with life.never tried to do anything but be there for all of them, I've had to be the one doing the big things like that and I think that's why she's rebelling more against me than my anyone. I hope she can figure it out...
