Since you’ve only contacted them 6 months ago they may be waiting until you’ve been trying and being monitored for a year. That would make sense why they said to wait 6 more months. But I would think the OB would refer you to a specialist for fertility help. When I was given chlomid it wasn’t done through my OB it was done through my specialist, although I never took it since I managed to get pregnant on my own the month I was suppose to start it.

If it's been over a year of Ttc they should of ran test at least and yes they can prescribe the clomid if trying over 12m..I'd go somewhere else cause that isn't right at all

If you feel that isn’t correct try another doctor. I had to switch because my previous doctor moved to another state. The first guy I went to told me to quit eating cheese and I would get pregnant, but other than that, he couldn’t do anything for me. 🤨 Even with having my medical records! Went to my new doctor, she’s a great lady who listens and was able to sort of pick up where I left off. Definitely be your own advocate in these situations!

How long have you been trying? This happened to me too but going tomorrow to get blood drawn to see if I produce enough progesterone. Good luck 🍀
