That would be quite interesting! I’ve always wanted more backstory on Grindelwald, personally. But at last, we’re getting that with the Fantastic Beasts movies! Yay! So maybe someday we can hope that she’ll give us more info on Hagrid too.

@bcsweetie, he honestly has so much mystery surrounding him too! Where did he come from? Where are his parents? How come he wasn’t proved innocent before they snapped his wand in half? We need more Hagrid in our lives.

@llamapantaloons, there’s so many people I want background stories to...but I just have such a soft spot for Hagrid that I want to know more about him.

And as for Hagrid’s parents, his dad passed away when he was kid, and I think his mom passed away years later after she had Grawp (isnt that his half-brother’s name? I’m pretty sure it is). One lewd thing I’d love to know but I doubt J.K. Rowling would ever touch this subject, is how Hagrid’s human dad ended up banging a giantess..... 😂 Sorry, but...you know! How does that even work? We know his dad was tiny seeing as Hagird says he was able to pick his dad up and put him on top of wardrobes when he was just a young child! 😂 I have such a dirty mind..... Unless she had a type of artificial insemination, I suppose..... 🤔

@breediddy13, what @llamapantaloons, said. On the questions why did they snap his wand so easy? Because they wanted the ordeal over and wanted to have someone guilty. All the professors besides dumbeldore LOVED him so they trusted him 100% when he said it was hagrid. They were also afraid of the magical beasts that hagrid is so fond of on top of being afraid of him because of suspecting he was half giant. Since his dad was dead and mom was off being a giant, he had nobody to stand up for him. 😔

@llamapantaloons, I totally remembered about his parents a day after I posted this and was like 🤦🏻‍♀️. And yeah J.K. Rowling wouldn’t touch that subject. Did you see her interview when they said something along the lines of thirty shades of grey was beating her in the best sellers record? J.K. Rowling was like “hmm think about how many more copies I could have sold if harry were only more creative with his wand 🙄.” I feel she’s just going to leave that a mystery 😂

@honeywax, I understand that but you would think after everything they’d find a way to give him his wand back and let him learn at least basics. Obviously he uses it anyways inside his umbrella and does just fine with it. Idk. Hagrid is such a loving soul though and I feel bad for him. And you’re right, he does have a problem with loving dangerous creatures, but that also comes in handy for Hogwarts as well (except for the time fang, harry, and Ron almost got eaten by the giant spiders).

Anyone else just not a fan of Dumbledore though?

@breediddy13, I wish they would have but I think it's a for life thing done by the ministry, which is dumb cause so many little things can get you expelled as a minor. Seriously ban someone for life over something done as a child wtf.

Dumbledore is...different. Obviously we wouldn't have had the stories if had been more adultish instead of letting the trio go through all that bs. BUT if he hadn't let them, they would never had the skills by book 7 and he knew Harry had a role to play to have voldemort gone for good. I think he had way too many hidden motives, BUT we only read from Harry's perspective so Dumbledore could have been watching on the sides just in case.

Yeah they shouldn’t have banned the poor guy for life. But I guess it shows the ministry, just like real life government, needs a lot of improvement as well. I feel like dumbledore is still slightly selfish though. I didn’t like that he left a child to be in an abusive household. I understand why he did and why he didn’t want harry in the wizarding world, but I feel other arrangements could have somehow been made. Idk that just didn’t sit well with me
