$1 Tests are 100% accurate. If you haven't gotten a positive by now, you definitely are not pregnant. There is something else going on that needs to be brought up with a doctor.

What is really bothering me right now is this back pain it will not go away no matter what I do

Being on a ttc board, we are so in tune with our bodies and know when we should be testing. It’s a good thing your seeing the dr next week to hopefully find out what’s going on.

@miloorflorencetbd, What I’m saying is yes you could have a negative home test but the likelihood of it being negative in either manner at 6 months would be rare. Your aunts case was likely a faulty test. For your aunt to not know she was pregnant at 6 months with a negative test would be a very rare occurrence.

@beakymcspence I said she had to get a blood test to confirm she was pregnant, I thought that implied that she had gotten a positive blood test? If not I apologize, but she did have a positive blood test, but never got a positive home test.

@miloorflorencetbd, There’s no way your aunt wouldn’t have triggered a blood test if she was pregnant sorry. It would be extremely rare. You’d not carry a baby to term without having a positive blood test that far a long. It’s scientifically not possible. Many people use these stories to explain why they never knew or just didn’t tell anyone they were pregnant. You’d not ever carry a baby to term with having never produced HCG especially at that gestation. HPTs can be wrong that happens. your aunt simply got a negative HPT and never checked further till much later.

@spookylyn not necessarily, my aunt has had two children, and never got a positive home test. She took one a six months pregnant with my youngest cousin and it said negative! She had to get a blood test from her doctor both times. Obviously not true for most people, but it does happen.
