I know I’m still very early pregnant 7-9 weeks along. But we decided not to find out the sex of the baby till birth. We had baby showers for both of my kids before this one and we have one of each, a boy & a girl. Would it be tacky to have a “Baby Q” (barbecue) and a diaper shower for us? Not requesting gifts or anything but they are welcome to bring a package of diapers if they’d like and be entered into a raffle for a gift card. Is that tacky to do or do you think it’s a good idea?

Aww, that's such a great idea! I love the "Baby Q" instead of bbq! (We also waited to find out at birth and it was so awesome, haha.)

I love the idea of a diaper raffle. My sil had twins and her her shower we did a diaper raffle they got so many diapers. We had 3 gift baskets as prizes. It was a lot of fun!! I don’t think it’s tacky at all

@babyreynolds, I felt like the pregnancy itself was never going to end, but waiting to find out wasn't hard at all. (Drove family crazy, though. Everyone told me girl, I felt boy, and I was right!)

@babyreynolds, we had a movie basket. With a fandango gift card, popcorn and some candy. Then we had a wine basket. With one bottle of red and one of white and 2 wine glasses then we had a fall themed basket. It had pumpkin flavored stuff some fall hand towels stuff like that
