When one of your family members makes a comment about your daughter who doesn't eat solids yet because of a texture issue and says "Well I'm sure if you take away the boob, she will eat, because she won't starve herself." 🤦🏼♀️
Actually, 1. I'd never take the boob away, I plan to breastfeed for as long as God allows, and she and my body allows. Which I hope is for years to come. 2. If she has a texture issue and she doesn't eat solids, I highly doubt she'd just instantly decide she could eat it.

• Putting her in her own bed instead of ours and maybe she'd sleep better. And maybe we should try it. And breaking that bad habit.
• Putting our kids to bed earlier because all her friends kids she knows goes to bed between 7 and 8.

Omg so many things bug me about this but who even suggests quitting breastfeeding, especially before one? Not like they need the solids yet anyway.. I hope you put that person in their place!!

Guess I am putting my 11 month old to bed too late because her bedtime is around 9:30 so she can sleep a little longer

When I was a brand new mama and people made comments like that I’d always respond with “well I’m sure he won’t go to college ... sucking his thumb/in pull-ups/with a sippy cup” (fill in the blank appropriately). Lol. Every kiddo goes at their own pace. Just because a friend of a friends kid ate solids straight out of the womb doesn’t mean you should stop breastfeeding and make your baby eat what she’s not ready for. She’ll eat solids before college, promise. 😉

@unicorn_mama I just told her I have no plans to take it away anytime soon and getting her to eat solids and still nurse is my goal. She has no kids, so I just kind of put my cents in, and brush it off lol.

@bhtslove girl, don't you listen to anybody. Anything that anyone has to say about your parenting it's just a suggestion (it doesn't matter). Take it with a grain of salt and walk away. You keep doing what you feel is right for your child because she is your child and nobody else's.

They must not understand how a breastfed baby is because if you just take away the boob all hell will break loose. 😂 I can't stand ignorant comments like that though. I had a doctor in an urgent care clinic act surprised I was still nursing my son when he was 7 months old and my in laws also couldn't stand that I nursed him until he was 15 months. 🙄🙄

Don’t people realize that having a texture issue is normal?!?! It has nothing to do with breast feeding. At that age their gag reflex is triggered much easier too. People will always try to put down a mom. Always!!!

Yeah yeah and keeping a baby up longer makes them sleep better at night and letting them scream every now and then is good for the lungs. Just nod and smile. 😬😀

My husbands family makes comments because my three year old drinks from a baby bottle and isn’t potty trained he has autism and just starting talking now don’t listen to anyone your her mother as long as she has breast milk for nutrition and your eating healthy she will be fine slowly introduce her at a comfortable level

I breastfed my daughter until.she was 23 months and when I stopped she started eating more solids. I never pushed her to eat solids and let her eat when she wanted. Offer food, it will come.
