BUT if and doubt throw it out. Sometimes a 5 day bottle in the fridge looked a bit off to me. What I did was rotate it out. I would pump at work and that would be used the next day while I was at work- then Fridays would be used on Mondays. It worked well for us. I had some back up in the freezer just in case there was a spill! I also kept a bit of formula JUST in case- it gave me peace of mind, in case all the milk was spoiled and I wasn’t home (like a power outage) or something—- my mind took me places ;).

What she said plus in a regular freezer 3 to 4 months. I've always read its ideal to use it within 6 months of freezing, even if it's in a deep freezer.

5-5-5 rule. Easy to remember. 5 hours room temp, 5 days in the fridge, 5 months in the freezer. Also up to 12 months in a deep freezer.
