@jacksmama17 I would just wait, but that's just me, if all he has is a fever. There isn't much they can do, or call his pedis office and just talk to a nurse. 🤷‍♀️

Our pediatrician only wants to see them if it's a super high fever (like 104), if he's really acting strange, has respiratory issues, or if he's had a fever for three days.

@jacksmama17, by acting weird it's more like, hard to wake up, dizzy, excessively clumsy, not eating or drinking anything. If it is the start of HFM, it's a virus so there's nothing to be done other than give Tylenol or Motrin, and force as much fluids in as possible. (My nephew had it last year.) So long as he's still drinking, even if he isn't eating, it's fine. Just keep an eye on the fever, and if it goes up very high or won't go down at all, then call, but otherwise just keep him comfy. Lots of cuddles. (You can always call the nurse and ask what the best course of action is, but she'll probably just say to keep him comfy and drinking.)

Hand foot and mouth is a virus so the dr won’t be able to do much but tell you to treat symptoms. DD had it when she was 1 and it sucks. The rash will normally come after the fever as well 😔. Good luck

If it's HFM there's nothing they can do for it, its a virus. But if you're worried call and ask what they want you to do.

My girl had it a few months ago. The doctor told us nothing we can do but rotate Tylenol and Motrin to keep fever down and cool baths. Could last 10 days. Give plenty of fluids!

I’d just give him some Tylenol or ibuprofen and just keep an eye on him
