Hi, I’m 35 weeks pregnant and the Tuesday just gone I saw a consultant (which was the forth time I’ve seen through my pregnancy due to previous miscarriages, depression, being on medication, recently being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis). The hospital I attended was running just over 2 hours late and when I eventually seen I felt the appointment was hurried. I have got an appointment to see my midwife on Thursday next week but wondered if beforehand I can seek advice from here. I’m not sure whether I’m over thinking it because of my appointment with the consultant being rush but wondering if anyone else has had it or going through it. So here’s my worry... At the top of my bump to the right hand top side is a really tender spot but it’s on the inside of my bump not the outside. It’s quite difficult to explain but depending on the position of baby and what I’m doing it can be really really sore, feels really badly bruised and can be painful and then sometimes it just makes me want to itch it but obviously that does nothing because its on the inside of my bump. The consultant said it was a pressure point and there’s nothing I can do but there’s something in me that feels I’m being fobbed off as since yesterday I’m starting to get the same thing happen on the top left hand side and baby’s back/bum/head has always been on the right side (to my rib cages joy 😂) this is my third pregnancy I’ve made to this stage (my first two where full term, 3+4 early miscarriage and 5 was till 16weeks pregnant) and I’ve never had this before and hoped someone would understand this and maybe have some advice. Sorry it’s a long one 😳 hoping this makes sense 😳 as I said it’s quite difficult to explain. #myfirstpost

I suffered with this awfully during my second and third pregnancies to the point it felt like the area was burning, I was told its where the muscles are so stretched they're easily aggravated, thankfully it went away straight after delivery. Aslong as its the only symptom I would try not to worry x

Ah no, bless you 😞 Was there any advice you were given to help with the pain? X

Oh I forgot to add that! I found laying down with a pillow under my back helped take the pressure off a little, and baths lots and lots of baths.. but nothing made it go away fully, sorry! X
