I agree with what @beakymcspence, said as I'm a labor and nurse also. It could be many things. From an infection,irritation, or a sub-chronic hemorrhage.

@keelygeedy, If she’s had regular prenatal care and scans it’s very unlikely that a Subchorionic Hematoma would be found at this stage of gestation. Also it likely wouldn’t be pink it would be a more prominent bleed or present as brown or old blood.

OP have you had sex recently? It could be an irritated cervix if it’s only light pink.

@beakymcspence no I haven't had sex in awhile. The spotting stopped and hasn't come back so I think I'm going to monitor it and then call tomorrow and see how they think I should proceed

@beakymcspence, It can occur at any point in pregnancy. I just had one at 18 weeks.

@beakymcspence, Yes they are most common in the first trimester but they defiantly can occur at any point.

@keelygeedy, it’s also not subchronic lol it’s definitely best to try and give accurate info if your a labour and nurse as you said 🙂

Labor nurse advice or not, you know you’re body best. There are 24hr actual nurse hotlines for serious advice when you’re nervous.

If it comes back soon, I’d suggest just going in to the walk in.
