Went to my appointment yesterday and snapped at the one measuring my belly because she pulled my panties down. It baffles me that women think you can only be abused by men. I was abused by women. Plus there's no reason to pull my panties down when my pants are already down far enough. There was no vaginal exam. One thing we need to talk about in my practice is consent and not doing stuff without talking/ asking the patient

It’s normal for them to pull them down a bit, they need to get to that bone to start the measurements. BUT they should comment about it first. It’s very likely she does it so much, it kind of slipped her mind. Unless I’m misunderstanding and she pulled them all the way down? I’m sorry you felt violated!!!

I'm a student midwife and never have to. She said she always do but if that's the case she should have communicated. That feeling of someone fumbling with my panties just rubbed me wrong. I've had two other babies and never had they felt the need to pull those down even a little
