Mine take their school uniform off

Get after school snack

Do any homework

Then chores

Then play or bother me or both

I have a chore chart and my teen is use to the routine of taking school clothes off n getting snack n doing homework but the chore chart is about a month old since I was going crazy over housework.

My daughter is still young so not living it yet but from what I remember when I was a little kid in school come home have a snack , empty the backpack , home work , dinner , mom would pack lunch for the next day bath or shower if everything was done and studies I was allowed 30

Min of tv before bed - I know you said Mom with school kids but I hope this helps some what

This is year 3 of having a school aged kid, our routine has changed since he started.

While in Kindergarten/1st our routine was :

Change into play/around the house clothes

Then we did homework

Have a snack

Play time/outside or inside with toys depending on the weather

Then Bath/Shower/Brush teeth

Dinner

TV time/Family time

Read a book

Bed time

This year, 2nd grade :

Change into Play/Around the house clothes

Homework/Reading log

Snack

Chores

Play outside

Tablet time

Shower

Dinner

TV time/Family time

Brush Teeth

Bed Time

Very little has changed but now that my son is 7 he has minor chores he separates the recycling and takes out trash and gets 10 a week plus any money for the recycling we get. He once got like 60$ all together lol

@j.andtaysmama, You guys don't have the little recycling places to take your cans/bottles that they give you cash in exchange?

@_ivyjayde, nope. We have trash trucks come every Tuesday that just takes it

I have my two older kids a chore chart which have my teen cook twice a week n she have less home work this year so she does a little more. My 8 year old son have more home work this year so he have less chores n spend most his time outside or playing with my youngest two. They even have more relaxing weekends but still have chores to do

but of course we try to take recycling to the recycling stops cause who doesn't want a lil extra money back lol

My son is 8 hw is always first. He can get that done in no time. Then he might play for a while then do chores. Have dinner and i may let him play a video game in between somewhere that's pretty much it. He used to have practice but didn't want to play football so may put him in karate. Then he be in class 2 days a week. His 16yr old sister goes counseling on mondays and now a class on Thursday but routine pretty much the same.

@kristcoleman88 my 8 year old son take forever in homework I have to keep him on task. Its like pulling teeth every time. He have to study more too. He do a lot of pouting 😡 n sometimes crying 😢 smh but he have is done he is so happy n ready to do chores and finally play

@saniyyahhasan my son doesn't get a lot and what he does he know well so he doesn't take long to do it. As long as he gets it done. His 16yr sister has more of a hard time she has more arms can't stay on task. I let her take breaks in between when it's alot.

I make them a snack, and play for a while. And then if they have homework they do that while I cook supper around 5-530 and if there is an extra curricular activity we will go to that and then quick shower/bath and bed!
