Y’all my heart is getting heavier by the second. My sweet baby girl probably doesn’t have a year left. Me and my mom are thinking she has till December left to live. She turned 12yrs old on January 5th and her life span is about 7 to 8 yrs. She’s not as active as she use to be and it’s killing me on the inside to see how much pain she is in. She’s already on arthritis and pain medication. I don’t think I could own another dog after she passes away

Awwww, I'm so sorry to hear about that. 12yrs is very old. And I bet you gave her a great home and life. And just know if you didn't have her she probably wouldn't have lived this long. Your doing everything you can for her and that's all you can do. Spend as much time with her as you can. Prayers for you and her. @niki664, thanks girly! It means a lot for you too say that 😊 It’s really gonna kill me when I wake up one day and she’s passed. I’ve had her since she was 6wks old. I just hope she can make it to her 13th birthday cause if she does, I’ll make sure she gets a peanut butter cake

You may be surprised. My grandma had a shihtzu that had a long list of problems that lives to 14, and my step mom had an over weight pug with diabetes and arthritis that lived to 18. I hope for your sake she gives you more time. I know how hard it is to lose a pet.

She’s beautiful! I hope you get more time with her. We also have an elderly dog. He is a bigger breed, and he is 12 years old. He’s getting hard of hearing and is starting to develop cataracts. But he still has his feisty spry moments 🐶❤️
