Today we are counting our blessings! My grandma has been in and out of the hospital for the last 3 weeks, she has kidney failure along with high potassium, not a good mix. Yesterday she was supposed to go to the Dr.'s office but didn't, then they said the appt was for the day before, so she ended up being taken by ambulance to the hospital and on that ride she ended up in afib and as soon as she got to hospital she flat lined for over 2 minutes. This whole time they could not get into their computer system to access her records and thank god for that. If she would have went to the Dr.'s office or they would have been able to access those records they would have seen that she had a DNR signed and she would not be with us today, needless to say, she has since changed her mind and the DNR is no longer in effect any more and family will make that final decision if and when that time comes. So today I am thankful for family and knowing that we still have her with us!
