I've tried so many times and so many ways to quit. I've done the mintsand a gum and the baby carrots. The only time I ever quit for a long period of time was when I was pregnant and when I was put on a medication for anxiety I noticed an aversion to cigarettes and quit for 7 days then we moved it was stressful and I started again. Right now what I'm doing to stay away from them is keep my place slightly messy so that when I crave one I will just go clean to keep myself occupied and from going out for one. Or I workout
@momsrmagical my cardiologist prescribed me chantix but i really don't know if i want to take it. I think i'm going to start taking and vaping cbd oil again
@wvgirl I know a few people that were on Chantix and they quit taking it very fast because it made them sick and gave them really f*cked up dreams. I tried the Vape as well and it didn't do it for me because it's more to me than just the nicotine. It became such a routine for me to smoke. First thing in the morning I make my coffee and I'd have a cigarette with it or two. After I eat I want one, if I'm on the phone for a long period of time I want one, when I'm drinking I want one or at night before I go to bed I would have one. Also the hand gesture was such a habit for me and I craved doing that that's why I tried the baby carrots and I would hold them like a cigarette but it didn't work.
@momsrmagical when i was taking cbd oil before i found that i wasn't craving my cigars as bad so that's the most natural and safest way i know to go about it. After going to my cardiologist today i have to quit
@wvgirl I understand, maybe we can help each other out. Keep each other motivated? I am still looking for the right method for me. I can say that recently I have cut down a lot. It's 2pm and I've only had two today. I used to smoke anywhere from 7 to a whole pack a day.
I ended up quiting via vaping. I started at 28mg (high dose) and fell down to 0mg and was able to quit all together pretty quick. It weans you off nicotine well if you stick to it.
@wvgirl great!! The other thing that makes it difficult for me is that my SO also smokes. He says he can quit and he'll leave the house without cigarettes but he'll sure as heck come home with them.
@momsrmagical mines gone most of the day during the week but he's around me all weekend. I'm vaping some cbd oil right now, i haven't smoked since i left the Dr.

Cold turkey is the only thing that ever worked for me. It’s hard but what isn’t lol.
There’s an app called my quit coach that you can set when you want to quit and how much you smoke daily and it will give you weekly plans to quit.
