@samamtha we dont have enough room at the side of our bed 😐 there is literally a foot either side (window one side, wall the other) the cot bed is at the end of the bed (about 2 foot from bed!) Rooms are quite small in our house lol. @jodiedillon3 yeah this is what I thought will it be too open etc. We have 2 moses baskets so we can leave 1 downstairs and leave the other in the cot bed xx
My oldest son outgrew his moses basket at like 6 weeks old, so I made like a little nest with towels under a sheet in a U shape in his cot bed. Might be worth considering like a sleepyhead in the cot bed?
Our eldest also outgrew his Moses basket at 6 weeks and went into his cotbed. However our youngest had to be weaned out of it at 6 months.
To be honest if the location is going to be in the same place anyway I’d just got straight for cotbed. No reason why not. People only use a Moses basket for the convenience of having baby next to you. We also used ours in the day a lot? Just a thought
Personally I would put straight into cot bed.... They your not worrying about how baby will be with the transition from the moses basket to the cot bed in a few weeks time...
@em90 @gen87 @claytonsmammy thanks! I can't remember how long our 1st was in it for but I know it wasn't long as she was a big baby lol. We kept her in frontroom next to us in the moses basket and that will be the same this time too. I will have a look at a sleepyhead for cot bed though thanks xx

In a Moses basket in a got bed is better so they feel secure they don't often like the free open space they like to be cuddles up 😊 x
