Let the babe bake more if you can! I had my son at 36 weeks as well and he was jaundice (I know it’s common) and a lot of respiratory issues the first 4 months of his life

Hopefully little one bakes until FULL term, that’s what’s best for baby.

The brain has a lot of growth the last few weeks!! Like a significant amount of growth. 40 weeks is best. Had both of mine after 40 weeks, no problems whatsoever. Just had to keep an eye on the bilirubin levels & weight gain but that's common.

36wks is way to early I'd be more upset knowing babe could come earlier then time

I cm dilated isn’t that big of a deal. You can be 1 cm for awhile. 36 weeks is early if there’s nothing medically with you and baby.

I think they doctor was just trying to be kind. A bit of hope so to speak, that you're almost done. We all know a baby comes when they're ready, unless your being induced it doesn't matter what you do. And trust me after 3 you can stay at a CM or 4 and still end up waiting 5 weeks lol. Let the baby finish the brain growth if you can.. I've been 3 cm dilated since my last day of 32 weeks .. they had to stop contractions after 4 hours and I had to have the shots to mature her lungs .. your Dr really is wrong for telling you to do that ..

Since your cervix isn't a crystal ball, it can only tell you what HAS happened, not what WILL happen. The only thing checks will do is invite unwanted infection.
