Definitely talk to your OB. I have a severe trauma history and have a no men allowed policy because I end up hyperventilating, panic attack, crying and throwing up.
Because of this my OB said that of I go in on a day a male OB is on call (week day would be her but weekend is OB on call) she will come in for me anyway! Seriously she is the best at understanding all of this but I have been open with her about it prepregnancy and continued to do so throughout. I am doing no pain meds because I can't handle men.
IF you just don't like the idea of a guy I will tell you most will say they can't change or guarantee that for you unless you choose a network with all female OBs.

Possibly but if they don't have one on call you might be out of luck. Why?

You can, but I would talk to your hospital in case like others mentioned a male is the on call dr.

Yes you can, I did and they put a big sign on my door that said “Females Only” I was not about to have a male doctor. 😅

The only male doc I saw was the Anastasiqligist and he was there for 2 minutes.

I was just wondering if I have that choice I really don't want a guy down there and they have a lot of different doctors at my place
