Eugh this is always so frustrating like its fucked up and unreasonable when youre child takes away ur basic human rights
Honestly, let him cry. My son has screamed in his crib while I went pee. Too bad. He has to know I can’t hold him 24/7. Your son has learned he needs bum patting to sleep. Break that habit. Get some patience for a week and do sleep training so that you don’t gotta do this anymore
Even if he cries can’t u put him in the crib so u can pee for 2 secs? He needs to learn some independence even at his age
Ohhhh okay well honestly there are a lot of ways to deal with that but it doesn't really seem like you're open to suggestions. I hope you figure something out though hon
@avianlouiebos, it will. You need to be consistent. It might take a week if hell but eventually it’ll work.
@ljsmommy22 yes i have to so i can pat his bum for like 8 hours straight
@jack.ass at night if hes sleeping he goes crazy if i stop patting his bum so i cant get up or do anything or hell wake up and it takes like 3 hours to get him back to sleep
Honestly at times like that when my son is being fussy I just carry him to the bathroom with me and just rock him. Do you co-sleep?
Why can’t you eat or pee? I can’t do those things alone, but I sure as heck make sure I still do. I might have 2-3 kids in there with me or their fingers in my plate, but they don’t deprive my of my human rights. You just have to get creative and find new ways. All part of parenting.
@ljsmommy22 its at night so I have to keep holding him for him to sleep so i cant
I understand your frustration but that's a part of being a mother. Do you have anyone to help you or give you a break?
You gotta start letting him cry and gain some independance. It's important. You're doing this to yourself by coddling him. He will eventually start to not care if you leave the room
