I'm starting to get frustrated. Just left my doctors appointment and alls they did was remind me im over weight and have diabetes so the baby can be too big too small have breathing problems or die before born. I understand but there is nothing I can do besides take my medicine exercise and try to eat healthy. What Do they want me to do sit here and stress because that's no good for the baby either.

Ugh, I'm sorry. The last thing you need is more stress. (My sister is diabetic and I know how hard it was for her to try to keep the stress and worry down, while watching her numbers like a hawk.)

@nomli my fingers are so sore and swollen from sticking them I'm taking my insulin like im suppose to and i'm trying my best to eat healthy it's hard and stressful. I had these issues while pregnant with my son and he was as healthy as can be. Alls I can do is hope and pray this baby will be the same.

@aileenquinter123, yeah, she'd test almost every hour. She synced her pump and monitor to her phone and watch, she had a thing (I forget the name and even if I'm accurate about what it did) in her arm that would monitor her levels in real time and let her know if she was rising or falling. I felt so bad for her, as we were pregnant at the same time and I didn't have any of that worry for myself.
Her son was mostly healthy, he did need a few days in the special care area (not nicu, but inbetween) and had trouble regulating his own levels after birth. And while he was on the bigger side, he wasn't as big as she had been led to believe he would be.
I agree, maybe find a new doctor. They are supposed to let you know concerns but also put you at ease. (My sister switched OB's at nearly seven months because she switched to a different hospital.)

@spookylyn @nomli yeah I am probably going to look for another one I love the fact they are doing extra growth scans and monitoring to make sure she is ok (my last doctor didnt) but i'm just tired of being reminded of the scary stuff. Im not even far enough along to feel the baby move every day but i'm so paranoid I can't help but think what if.. I literally had a break down the other night crying worrying what if something happens but i'm at the point that isn't going to help I have no choice but to let her grow and hope she is healthy as can be

And they are trying to insist it's not just gestational diabetes they think im just diabetic because they caught it so early but they caught it just as early with my son and after I had him they said it went away so i'm just confused.

They caught my GD with my second son early. You have a higher chance of having it again if youve had it once. Also, they should have blood work prior to you having GD my levels are normal outside of pregnancy, but you do run a risk of getting it later in life.

@littleonemorning my levels were normal after having my son and she said she ran a test to see if I had diabetes prior my number had to fall in a certain range to not have had it and it did but they are still saying they think I did. So even though the baby is growing healthy they are treating her as if I came in with full blown diabetes. I'm just so confused and stressed 🤷♀️

@aileenquinter123, I’m sorry. They didn’t do that with me, jus made sure I monitored my sugar levels and kept my diet under control. When my youngest was born they said he was the perfect size for me having GD.
Hoping your find a better doctor! 💕
