So true... However, my sister had two boys and she made sure they had a balanced amount of both gender toys. Her first son carried around a doll he named Manny forever. It was so cute. He loved that doll. People use to make rude comments about it like "what are you trying to raise him to be" or "if you want a girl that bad have another child" . He grew up to be an awesome guy... Pretty sure the doll didn't harm him in any way

I feel you girl, it's RIDICULOUS the way people act about crap like that! My son wanted a "Big Kitchen"(kitchen set), as he calls it, for his birthday a couple weeks ago. I knew I'd get SOME shit for wanting to get him one but did not expect HALF the dumb shit people had to say. Like he's THREE....he attaches NO sexual connotation to freaking TOYS! He doesn't see a kitchen, my little pony or WHATEVER and think "OH NO....this is only for girls" or "Only girls can be in the kitchen". Nor does it mean my THREE year old is gay. He's THREE for Pete's sake! He just sees a toy that looks cool and like lots of fun that comes in a HUGE box(he's always very excited about the boxes things come in and if he'll fit in said box...even cooler!). It has doors/drawers you can open and close, buttons to push, it even has ice that comes outta the freezer door, THAT'S what he sees. He uses his beautiful imagination and has been having the time of his life in his kitchen and I don't give a DAMN what ANYONE has to say about it either! It's not 1927, boys can get their asses in the kitchen too! If the worst thing that my baby wants to do is cook you some "betchables in his oben", have you to his cafe or teach a baking class then I'm just FINE living with that. Idk WHY people that aren't involved in our everyday lives or actually know my damn child think they have ANY room to tell me what my son can/can't play with or worse judge me for what I purchase for him to play with!

WOW! My bad... didn't realize I was so riled up bout this still! Lol! People just PISSSSS me off! Like WHO CARES?!?! Even if he is gay...WHO gives a fuck! I HARDLY think it was the kitchen set that made that decision for him! As long as he's happy and his partner treats him with love and respect, I don't care what's in that person's pants, like AT ALL!!

I have people (family mostly) comment on my daughters likes & toys all the time cause she rather have super hero’s & cars. But she also has a baby doll & my little ponies. I’ve gotten eye rolls & stuff from strangers in Walmart while I was looking at the boy clothes with her. When I was growing up my grandma would get on us if we made fun of my boy cousins for playing with dolls. She would use the baby dolls to teach how to treat & take care of a baby. & she always said that’s something boys should know too. So when someone says “why are you letting him play with a doll?” around me I speak up & tell them “he’s just learning how to be a good dad.”

My husband and I literally just got son a princess castle because that’s what he wanted for his birthday.
