With our first I went to the breastfeeding class with my mom because my husband was on third shift. They thought I was 16 and pregnant. Not that there is anything wrong with that! But it sure felt shitty those judgy eyes! And that the teacher made it a point to say something specifically about my mom being there.

Yeah that’s why I skipped my birthing class. My hospital only offers it during the week, and my husband would just be walking in the door when it starts at 6, and he’s normally in bed by 8:30, and it ends at 9.

My mom came as my partner too @jessig2006, my SO was in the middle of planting season.

I had my mom with me my whole 1st pregnancy, the judgement was real! I know my mom felt it too because she made it a point during one of the classes to loudly announce that my SO was in the military. After that, no more judgements. Lol thanks mom 😂
