Yesterday while my SO was mowing the yard he found a baby snake like right in front of our porch! That’s the second one he’s found now. The other one didn’t worry me as much because it was way down in the ditch next to the road and we’re never down in that part of the yard but the place where he found the other one yesterday is a spot where my daughter runs and plays ALL OF THE TIME!! I’m babysitting today for a little bit and I’m terrified to let the kids play in the yard!! I just want to keep them on the porches and in the house!! It was just a little black snake but I still don’t want any of the kids to get bit!! 😫😫😫😫😫😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I have found many snakes in my yard. A ton in the backyard. Keep the grass short should help.

Yep, keeping the grass short keeps them away, because it’s harder for them to hide.

@kbbaybee16, @penelope127, we do but he has an old truck that he’s slowly repairing and apparently that one was hiding under the tire of it since it sits in the yard when he isn’t working on it

@vvrobinson, I hate snakes they just give me the heebie jeebies 🤣 I wish my daughter knew what they were but I don’t think she would be afraid because when her daddy brought it closer to show me yesterday she cried wanting to hold it 😩😩😩 I hope my little lizard buddies stay on the porch I don’t want them to be eaten lol

@vvrobinson, same!! I have 2 little lizards that wonder around my porch and my flower beds in front of my porch that I love! The snakes can go right on through the lawnmower tho 😂😂
