I can’t wait for this little man to meet his sister I am a little scared tho. How did you ladies do…

My son got to meet his baby sister in the hospital but he was to busy playing but he got to meet her when we got home I got him a gift and said it was from his sister that way he felt special also

Well for me, my 2yr old never came to the hospital, he stayed with my mom and when we came home he was at his fathers. He didn't meet his little brother until he came home and he just walked in and saw the baby.. We didn't make it a big deal.

Well my son was 8 when is sister was born. We had to wait until we got home,for him to meet is sister. He just walked in the room. And stayed there with her for hours just looking at her. Now with this one.. I am hoping that they both can meet her while I'm at the hospital this time.

I am going to have my three-year-old make a shirt for her sister that she will wear when she comes home underneath her clothes was going to be cold and she's born

@annadoran09 idk, I just don't get the whole idea of making it a big deal... I mean most the time, toddlers don't like the idea of having to share attention and get jealous and making a big deal and trying to make it special doesn't always change their minds anyway... The way I got my son to accept his baby brother was just by telling him every day during the last few weeks or my pregnancy that he's going to be a big brother, there's going to be a baby here soon, showing him other babies, and talking to him about what a big brother does so by the time he met the baby, it was old news and he already knew what to expect and the only difference was, the baby was there and in person. He still didn't like the idea of having to share attention and he did act out for the first couple weeks but never toward the baby, he's loved his baby brother since he met him.

I would let her (only have an older girl no boys yet) rub my belly and talk to her and kiss her. Then she came to the hospital and loved her and now they love each so much it makes me cry lol

My boys are 19 months apart. Jensen just seemed to know he was getting a baby. Danny's mom brought him up to the hospital and he came running into the room. He saw us on the bed and climbed up and instantly hugged and kissed his baby brother. He was so excited. We just talk positively about it. Jensen seems ready to meet his new baby but I think Kallan will have a harder time accepting it. Kal is a cuddle bug and a mama's boy right now. We will find out soon enough!
