I'm getting induced tonight. Does anyone have inducing stories they are willing to tell?

I was induced at 37+3 due to sudden onset of preeclampsia. Technically I was already having contractions when I went in at dilated to 2 cm. They waited like 7 hours before they started giving me pitocin. I was trying to hang in there and do all natural birth but I was exhausted and after 12 hours I still hadn’t progressed past 5 cm. I got my epidural around midnight and was able to get some rest. I was woken up at 5 am for a cervix check and they told me we were ready to push. Half an hour later baby was born. I just had a tiny tear. Was up and walking a couple hours later. Not a bad experience at all like the above story. Sorry you had to go through that @itty_bitty

I was induced at 8 am a week overdue. I wanted to do no epidural. The only induction that I’d ever seen were at least 12 hours. So around 11 am I was like I don’t think I can take more pain then this for 10ish hours. Nurse called to have the drug dude come. I had to go to the bathroom and my nurse helped me, I felt like I had to poop so I started to push. She yelled at me!😂 Don’t push. I was like I feel like I have to poop. Nope she checked me and it was time to push. No epidural. My son was born before noon. So glad I was able to keep my birth plan! I had a good experience.

i went in around 7pm they started the pitocin right away..started having contractions nothing unbearable until around 3:00 a.m I was around 5cm until 6a.m they broke my water and when I was 7cm I got an epidural and then at 8:00 I was 10cm so I was able to push and I had him at 8:30

I’ve been induced twice. They start me around 830am with pitocin. I had a 9 and a 6 hour labor from start to finish. I pushed for 10 minutes with my son and only 3 pushes with my daughter. Not everyone has bad inductions. It just depends. My cervix was already dilated both times though so I’m sure that helped.

I was induced Monday August 27th they inserted the pill to thin out cervix at 9pm water broke at 12:30am contractions started shortly after I got the epidural at 5:00am when I was at a 5 shortly after the epidural was inserted I started feeling pressure got checked I was at a 10 pushed for 10mins and had him at 6:22am

P.s he dug around in my spine for what felt like forever

I hated being confined to the bed but my entire labor was 5 hours, 3 pushes and a lot of stitches. Pitocin made me contract but I didn’t dilate (went in at 4 cm) until they broke my water. I also had horrible back labor and ended up getting the epidural but I wish I wouldn’t of because it messed up my back and I’m positive my labor would of been shorter because I went from 4 cm to 10 in an hour and I could feel her head coming and they waited an extra hour to check me 😂

My induction story

I was 5 days over due with my daughter, my process started from 1:30pm and she came at 5:37am. It wasn't as bad that i thought it would be besides having to get my water broke( they couldn't get it broke until like the 3rd try), having to get my epidural done twice and than it took a hour or little longer( that's how long i had to push) for my daughter to arrive.

But it was all worth it at the end though.
