I was telling my MIL (here we go again, right?) about the new car seat safety recommendations and I was like “good because I plan on rear facing Jais for a long time. 4 would be ideal” and she’s just like “four is excessive. There’s no reason for a four year old to be turned around”

I’m over her having to comment on every decision I make when she knows damn well I research everything like crazy. If that makes me excessive, then so be it.

@mommaofjais, lol there’s plenty of reasons... SAFETY being numero uno. Now it probably won’t happen that way but ideally, it should! Why put you down for having the best in mind for your child? It’s not like it’s fun for anyone to have their child rear facing for a long time.. again, just practical for safety reasons.

Girl I’d just shrug it off. You make all the decisions for that child. She’s just the grandma. She gets no say. Sorry not sorry!!

@mommaofjais, good!! He should. But he also should being her son. He knows her way better than you even do so I’m sure he knows how ridiculous and overbearing she can be at times. Lol I’m so proud of you for playing nice though. I would have already said something by now.. but you know me 😂
