Last night when walking I started to have severe sharp stabbing pains on my right side of stomach. I was having to stop walking and try to breathe through it all. When I sat, I just felt very uncomfortable and like baby was going lower, some cramping and back pain. Pain resumed every time I stood or walked or moved. Went to sleep (eventually) and woke up feeling okay this morning. Now the pains are starting again, same side. Does anyone have any idea what could be happening? Do you think it’s serious enough for me to go to hospital?
Ps: I have no idea what “normal” labor pains feel like bc I never started contractions on my own and had pitocin with both of my other pregnancies.

@sassychef135, you don’t have a labor and delivery you could call?

@penelope127, I guess I should. I just don’t want to be sitting in the ER for hours on end

@penelope127, I’m just wondering if there could be something else going on like just with me and not baby...? I don’t have fever or anything though, to signify infection

@penelope127, I had just finished a whole bottle of water and then drank another when I got home. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@sassychef135, I had some cramping last week, not like period cramps, but enough to scare me. I called the nurse line, and if the pain is intense or timeable go in. They told me to drink water, so maybe start drinking water now if your not, and call if they aren’t going away.

@penelope127, and usually it is more left side. Which I know can also be constipation or dehydration. This is new though, with it being on the right side and just not wanting to go away. It gets worse as I walk and moves lower

@penelope127, that’s what I thought at first too, but I’ve never had it this painful or consistent. It’s usually just when changing positions or something and then goes away

To me it sounds like round ligament pain. I’ve had it where it was on my left side, and it felt like stabbing. It definitely stopped me in my tracks.
