Do doctors give you pills when you wanna stop breastfeeding to stop the milk from coming in ?

I’ve never heard of pills but I guess you could ask. If you want to stop then I’d suggest doing it gradually by dropping one feeding at a time and let your supply decrease. You’ll want to pump milk and mix with formula so your baby can get used to the taste. This process could take months though since you’re barely 3 weeks pp and probably have a lot of milk. Why not just keep feeding longer? Are you going back to work?

If you’re positive you want to stop breastfeeding, I’m sure it’s much healthier to try natural ways to dry up milk... cabbage leaves, ice packs, slowly decreasing # of feedings, etc.

Jip the dr does... You must ask for it... Its 8x pills you take 3x a day... I take it and my breast milk is gone.. (im not alowed to breastfeed because of a medical problem)

@bulmabreigh3, i was only going of breastfeed for a month and my son is so used to it he’s not liking formula
