@kendrab, @beakymcspence, thanks ladies I haven’t dilated anymore than I was last visit but I have been contracting they were 2-3 mins apart actually

@beakymcspence, the swab test was positive for preterm labor, what does that mean?

@rebelprincesz24 I hope they stop the preterm labor atleast you havnt dialated anymore yet.. I don't really know anything about any of that but you are in my prayers! Need someone to talk to im here hun keep me updating I'll be thinking of you!

@rebelprincesz24, The only swab test I know of tests for amniotic fluid, which would mean your fluid was leaking and you’d have to deliver within 24 hours. Keep me updated on what happens babe ❤️

@beakymcspence, this one is something to do with a protein that gets released, I’m not leaking anything, and I’m still 2 cms dilated so I’m not sure on what to think

I was 3 cm from 31 weeks till 38 weeks then it went to 4 cm

@babybirdboss-mom, I’m still a 2, but I tested positive for preterm labor. So they gave me something to stop the contractions now we’re waiting on what the drs say

@rebelprincesz24, If it wasn’t a fluid strip test then they can likely prevent labour hun. I walked around 3cm dilated for nearly 5 weeks ❤️🤞🏻

@beakymcspence, the test they done was called a fetal fibronectin test, and I’m hoping I stay at a 2 for a while longer

@rebelprincesz24, Oh that makes sense, that’s not a routine test here anymore so I rarely see them. Hopefully they can stop the contractions to keep babe baking ❤️

@beakymcspence, I’m hoping so I read online something about they come up positive sometimes and it be false. So far contractions have let up they gave me procardia for it which I’ve never heard of

@rebelprincesz24, Very often the tests are inconclusive which is why they are rarely used here. We rely on the fluid PH test and other signs. Procardia or “Adalat” is used to stop preterm labour but may be something you have to remain taking till babes due date.

@beakymcspence, ahh okay thank you, I haven’t heard anything back on any of the other tests they ran but they were trying to get in touch with the dr that was on call for my dr and also waiting on the resident dr to get finished in the delivery room
