Question for C-Section Moms:
After signing in the hospital and doing the scrub on your belly and spinal . How long after do you deliver? I will be going in at 5:30 am. How long will it take to have the baby? My SO can not miss work at all. He will get fired if he asked for the days off, So I will be doing it all alone. I want to know if he will even be there to see the baby get delivered. He has to go in at 9am and the hospital is not that far from work. So even if he leaves at 8:50 am he will make it to work. I can not believe I will be in the hospital for three days alone 😭😭.

I was scheduled at 7am. He was out at 9:43am. They have ivs, blood work, prep to do before even bringing you to the operating room for prep.

@lii94 So my baby will most likely be put by 8:30 am the lastest so dad can see him come out than spend some time than leave for work.

@lunachar62 He just started this job two months ago. He just got promoted to part time instead of seasonal. His job is firing people right and left. Just the other day the fired 30 people.

I went in at 9:30 am and my son was out by 10:07 am .. I went in as emergency though so im not to sure it depends on the hospital and if they have someone in there before u and having to clean and prep

Your baby should be out within 2 hours maybe 3 at the most. It could be delayed though if one of the doctors is late (OB, ped or anesthesiologist), or if they have to do an emergency c-section before you or if there are any complications with your spinal. For me, the spinal didn’t work so they had to do it again so I was laying on the table for like 40 minutes before they could finally cut me open because I could still feel my contraction pain.
He should ask to come in late. The birth of his child is a once in a lifetime thing and anyone would understand that he needs to be there.
