Ya. It’s weird that adults have been getting it, but the way we eat and stuff now a day out immune systems aren’t so great. Also for a few weeks after the first week it’s contagious still in the spit snot and poop so make sure you are washing hands and try to keep her from kissing biting and licking anyone. And obviously just wash your hands a lot especially after changing a poopy diaper. I know it’s a long lonely week at home, but soon it’ll be just a memory! It’ll pass
Oh no really I the dr. @ the hospital told me it’s rare to be contagious in adult but it’s highly contagious in children under 10 especially under 5. For the first 7 days .!
@blessedmomof4, for a week. Her doctor said after a week if there is no fever and her blisters aren’t open she can be around other kids. 7-10 days is what it usually lasts. A lot of adults are getting it lately so be on the look out
Yes, lots of fluids & popsicles if her throat is sore. A lot of kids won’t want to eat much if they have sores in their throat so making sure they get fluids is important. Other than that, just try to keep her comfortable & you can alternate Tylenol and Motrin.
