Has anyone ever requested a different nurse during labor? I don't think I would even have the option…

I had the same nurse both times. It was pretty neat. They only do 1 room a nurse though

Generally where I work certain nurses with certain training are delegated to specific cases. Like myself certain days of the week I do deliveries from rehab and the remand (jail)

That being said in regular shift days it’s very common that people you’ve delivered before will request you if they know your on shift! I’ve also seen some of the cranky nurses be complained about by a patient and their traded out.

I originally had 1 nurse but ended up with 1 dr and 3 nurses lol! It was a struggle. Then had an emergency csection 🤦🏻‍♀️😭😂

I did. My first one was a totally bitch so I requested change. We have a big labor and delivery though 13 rooms and the 20+ nurses

@angelfoodcake, Cranky people shouldn’t do a lot of things lol 🙊 We also have a couple of nurses that are completely flakey I’m surprised they passed their licensing exam.
