I have a question for breastfeeding moms ☺ How & when do you plan on stopping ? Anyone have any tips…

If my son doesn't start weaning by 2.5 ill probably start to get him off by 3.

The best method is dont offer, dont refuse. If you cosleep its harder at night, might be better to also do own beds at weaning. Or you can always leave baby with grandparents or someone trusted and go away for a weekend or so!

Same as @kambam, but I don’t have an age in mind yet. I wanted to wean by 1 year old but changed my mind. I feed on demand still but never really offer it unless he’s not really eaten enough solid foods that day.

At the moment I plan to stop about a year or year and a half. I feel by the time he’s potty trained he should be weaned.

I let my daughter self wean and she was done by 2.5. She just gradually cut out feedings until she was down to 2 a day then 1 a day then only a couple times a week. I’m planning to do the same with my son.

When my daughter was 11 months I started the weaning process by setting her to a schedule of nursing 5 times a day and when she tried to nurse outside the schedule I would give her whole milk in a sippy, cheese, and yogurt bites. Once a week I removed a session, leaving morning sessions for last and ended up doing that for a month after she turned 1 because i wasn’t quite ready to stop and then one day I just brought her downstairs and gave her a sippy of milk in the morning and never looked back.... she would have nurses until she was 7 if I had let her self wean 😂
