I wore the gown. It's much easier to push and everything wearing a gown, after the baby is born you can change into your clothes

I wanted to wear a buttoned nightie but ended up wearing the gown as I had a c section

Def can’t wear a tank top and sweats lol nor would it be comfortable, you’ll most likely be leaking fluids and be being checked quite a bit... not to mention if you get an epi the holes in the back of the hospital gown come in useful then. At my hospital the hospital gown is mandatory during labor you can change into whatever after. It’s mandatory for reasons like emergency surgery, ivs etc not to mention the nurses and drs shouldn’t have to take longer to do their jobs due to your clothing choices. Also makes it easier for instant skin to skin when your baby is born. Plus your likely to get blood and other fluid on whatever your wearing while birthing.

I’m pretty sure you have to put the gown on and need to be hooked up to the monitor to monitor the baby.

Yeah I had a C-section and by the time I woke up and have had him, I was Thanking the good Lord above for night gowns from the hospital. It will be easier for you to wear what they give you till the baby is born.

You dont give a shit in labor lol. But you can take your own gown, kimono, loose dress etc. I just wore the gown, didn't wanna fuss with a change mid labor, didn't care, ended up naked anyway 👍

I just wore the gown. Wearing something else was the last thing on my mind during painful contractions lol. I also didn't want to ruin my own clothes with blood and fluid.

I'll say the gown I brought a suitcase full of dresses didn't wear any of them til I was leaving. I was in pain once I got there then things got a bit messy so I just kept the hospital gowns lol

I was up until i laid down to push. I couldn't have cared less if I was naked. I wore the gown

I def wouldn’t wear pants considering you are probably going to be checked for dilation every so often and may be leaking fluid/blood without realizing it.. and plus you will have to take them off when you feel like pushing and then you’ll just be naked waist down. Hospital gown is easiest so they can monitor as needed and you won’t ruin clothes. Just bring a comfy robe to wear over it

I’m planning on getting a gown the time with back closed so I can walk around. I had to wear to hospital gowns one on front and one back to cover everything and I hated it.

I have a gownie from Amazon. Tried it on I love it! Can't wait. :)
