What’s y’all opinion on crib bumpers? Is it better to have a mesh one? I was gonna buy a crib…

Crib bumpers aren’t recommended because they aren’t safe. Bare bed it the best. Just a crib sheet until they are older. You can do a theme without the bumpers. Keep the blanket for when they are older.

I did the mesh for my dd. They worked really well to keep her legs out from the bars. If you feel more comfortable with a bumper I would do mesh

The mesh worked well for my son once he was a bit older and moving around. We took it out and I regretted it because he was constantly getting his feet stuck and waking up screaming.

I didn’t even think of that. The one at the bottom of the crib would be completely safe because it’s below the mattress. That’s such a good idea.

I never put crib bumpers in my son’s crib he’s always been fine

I used mesh ones with my oldest and didn't use any with my second.

We had the mesh ones for him. I hated them, they were forever falling down (Maybe our crib wasn't shaped right 🤷‍♀️), and by a few months he could push them down himself, so they didn't serve much purpose after that.

I used the mesh for my first but none for my second. Someone told me the mesh were safe to use and I believe since then it's changed or was never actually safe lol. Honestly I'd just get some cute crib sheets and decorate the room. I never actually used anything but the sheet in my crib set. Waste of money that can be spent on other things.
