Took my 6 month old to the ER yesterday cos she has croup and they gave her steroid medicine to help with her breathing and dog bark cough. Today she’s having the whistling breathing again. Should I take her back to the ER?

@njgriffin, your doc doesn’t have an on-call line? If there was no way to get in contact with the pedi then I’d go back to ER. Better safe than sorry. My daughter was 9 months when they gave her the nebulizer but I’ve heard of it being used in younger kids so who knows..

My pediatrician only works two days a week... wtf 🤬 so I couldn’t take her in today. When my 2 year old had croup the ER doc gave me a nebulizer with Albuterol sulfate drops. But yesterday the ER doctor told me not to use it on my 6 month old. So I don’t know what to do @tacos4lyfe,

Have you called her pediatrician? When my daughter had croup the doc gave us a nebulizer so we could do treatments at home as long as needed
